Choose your pieces

Choose by below-lid capacity and the rim measurements, then select the exact cup combination. The 60 ml mini gaiwan has a bowl and lid with no saucer. Other listed gaiwans have a bowl, lid and round saucer. Pitchers are separate options and are not included with gaiwan sets. Tea leaves, trays, textiles and other scene props are not included.

Choose your capacity

Brim capacity fills the bowl to the rim. Below-lid capacity is lower, leaving room for the lid. Check both capacity and rim width when choosing.

Care for thin ceramic

Wash gently with mild detergent and a soft cloth. Rinse after tea, avoid abrasives and sudden temperature changes, and dry before storing. Do not use chipped or cracked ceramic.

Use

Set the bowl on a stable surface, add tea and suitable water, and leave space for the lid. Adjust the lid to create a small pouring gap and pour carefully into a suitable vessel. Hot ceramic and liquid require care; a thin wall does not guarantee protection from heat.

Care

Hand-wash gently with mild detergent and a soft cloth. Rinse after tea and dry fully before storing. Avoid abrasives, impacts and sudden temperature changes. Inspect before use and do not use chipped or cracked ceramic.

Which options have a saucer?

The 60 ml mini gaiwan and its one-cup set have no saucer. The other listed gaiwan forms include a round saucer.

Will I receive a pitcher with the gaiwan?

The two pitchers are separate options. Gaiwan sets include only their listed bowl, lid, saucer where applicable and tasting cups.
