Place the selected tray or tea pieces on a stable level surface. Lift the teapot or gaiwan lid, add loose leaves and add water gently, leaving space below the rim. Pour through the filter bowl into the pitcher and share among the cups. The filter bowl may rest on the pitcher in the pictured demonstration, while its separate stand remains on the tray. Handle hot ceramic and tea carefully and follow the instructions supplied with the product.
Care
Allow the pieces to cool before cleaning. Hand-wash glazed ceramic with mild detergent and a soft sponge; rinse and dry. Remove leaves from the mesh gently. Does every set include a tray?
No. A tray is included only where named and shown. Walnut-colour lattice trays, bamboo-top trays, small slotted trays and dark carry-case trays are different configurations.
